Corruption for the good of the country...

This debate is to ask if corruption in a government is a good or bad thing , I shall start.

Well i personally believe that a corrupt government is not a bad thing and at times can be very beneficial for the country and my reasoning for this would be a country's economic system runs off the public knowledge of what there financial state is like, a truthful government telling its people how it is would cause panic and thus making the population start saving money and withdrawing it from banks which would mean they don't spend as much in shops therefore putting a country into a recession and could lead to hyperinflation and the destruction of the moral in the country which would also worsen things... However a Corrupt government lies about it's finances and keeps the simple minds at rest therefore creating no panic and so it prevents any of that from ever happening , This only works though as people are like sheep and follow what they are told normally without question because who would question the Government ... people these days do however it is normally the free thinkers that choose to question it all....

I voted on "No" that was before I read what you put down, and it does make sence. Altho the main couse of a lot of the world problems is some thing the governments of the world can't see, as all humans can't see it... over population... humans are killing the planet and all the animals by over population. The reasoning behind it is very simple and very logical. I don't understand how I, a mear fox, can see some thing that humans can't. I could explain it if you want me to.

Okay, let me explain it. The Earth has a life limit, and the more one animal has the less the other can have. Humans have been taking it all up leaving less and less for the plants and animals on Earth. This is why I say humans are over populated, serously, there's over 6.5 billion (I think) and that will only double in the next 100 years. This should be easy for some one who studies physics to understand. It's all to do with atoms.

To be entirely honest, A lot of the problems would be non-existent without corruption. Greed? Take that out, and billions of problems solved immediately.

Whilst Democracy and Capitalism provide the whole "Incentives" thing, it also causes problems. People want money, it's just the way it is. That being said, a lot of amazing projects are halted, cancelled, progress slowly, etc, because of people wanting money.

I can list a few examples of some projects that never made it, due to costs. Some projects over-paid for, etc.

It really depends on what you classify as corruption. To me, No corruption = No problems to begin with, so no need to hide anything.
