I stopped listening to the radio because most stuff on there bores me.. I especially hated one song whose only lyrics was one line that they repeated more times than I could be bothered to count. All the while being incredibly repetitive.

I don't really remember how I discovered Sonata Arctica, but what matters is that they have some really nice melodies at times. <3

Luck plays a big part, I'm sure, but it will also be down to the having the right marketing strategy. The radio plays so many songs on repeats I find that if you listen to it for an hour once day you get sick of it. I spent my time listening to my iPod instead.
