[TUT] Killing a Shen Gaoren [TUT]

If you have a thunder longsword just wait 5 minutes, then gaoren will be in the area and walking near you, stand near his legs
You can keep attacking him but do not in any circumstance touch the body while he's walking.
while he's turning around to get up, stand on it's shadow and recover yourself if that is needed.

When it walks toward the fortress stay at the edge of his shadow untill it stands still and sets it's feet to do his beam thingy at the fortress.
attack only one of his legs, when it's completely red start attacking another.

when it comes down again start hitting it, in the front, it will turn around and go back to the middle of the area, while it's walking keep attacking, then it will turn again to stand up; from here it's pretty much all the same. but also use the dragonator when you think the time is right.

if you think you Do need the dragonator, wait untill it stands up and just before it opens it's mouth (to shoot the acid thing attack) hit the button.

And you might kill him.

I got every single leg to be the reddest possible then they reset back to normal instantly without warning. This is a glitch and it restores Shen Gaoren to full health so I suggest restarting if it happens.

Clarkie, Thats not true...... If you use a HUD HP hack you can tell, also i see it as the Shen Gaoren is loseing all the blood from those legs

Easiest way is to get Cean S armor, or with any piercing upgrades, with a meteor buster (or any other HBG with piercing rounds *all three) and the rest is combinations for your piercing shots, power talon / charm, and just shoot as his shell where it's connected to his body so that you can have a straight shot through out. it'll hit his weakest point, and you'll always kill him.

The easiest way to kill shen gaoren, whether the g rank or not. is to use an HBG with auto reload and element attack up skills.



Ammo to bring-
pierce-1,2,3
Thunder s
Fire S
normal-1,2,3
and large barrel bombs.

first., plant bombs on its feet. then shoot it.
next, continue using normal 3 shots and make sure that all of the shards hit the body. when it sits down, use pierce on its shell to exit the aface.
continue the procedure.
when it reaches the part that it uses the spit attack.
use the dragonator or ballista to stagger it.
continue the cycle.
then, youll get a easy kill, w/o taking damage.

eh, i stand with the guy who says gun him, with pierce s, the daora hbg works well, as for element attacking him, I'll try that tonight and let you know how it goes.I'll post up later.

I just use dualswords when I solo it.
