Drawing & Painting
I placed the thread here because of the word 'art' in the description, if it doesn't belong here, I offer my apologies.
Anyway, I have been drawing for a while, I like doing cartoons, specially in anime style and trying to copy from what's around me. I also enjoy colouring them digitally.

I would like to learn to paint on a canvas. Though I don't know if I'd do it that well without layouts to rely on and filters and what not.

What about you? Do you paint or draw?
Which ones would you like to learn, if you do?

RE: Drawing & Painting
I draw on paper then colour them digitaly. I some times paint with acrilics and water colours, and I use coloured pencils from time to time.

I only draw with a pencil, because you can be very creative with this. You can darken your drawing if you use a little pressure or you can draw very light if you use less pressure. Also you can hatch your drawing and if you use different directions your picture has another appearance. That what I think Big Grin

You could have all that control if you had a WACOM brand drawing padBig Grin any of there series will do; they have a software that allows pressurized color and thickness in photoshopBig Grin

RE: Drawing & Painting
Well ive never actually tried GIMP myself, but i do know WACOM makes the best drawing tablet out there: and it messing up is only because people dont follow instructions lol. All tablets will work as a mlouse if not properly installed with drivers etc. So if you do it right and get the right drivers it works GREAT! Photoshop takes a bit of conforming to understand its DRAWING aspect. Its can be a victor above other programs especially with a tablet. If you ever need any instruction; let me know, i would love to help/colabSmile
